“The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that our aim is too low and we reach it!” [Michelangelo]
When we hear the word “reality,” we tend to think of something absolute. However, everything is in the process of becoming different. Even you and I. No matter what is going on in our lives today, it doesn’t necessarily mean it will stay that way forever. It only means that’s where you are today. Reality is not absolute. Here are a couple of examples:
1. Before the microscope was invented no one had ever heard of a germ. If you told someone they had little things swirling around inside their body they would have said you were crazy. That’s because at that time germs weren’t a part of our reality.
2. Before the Wright brothers understood anything about the principle of “lift” a flying machine was not a reality. However, today we have flying machines that are part of our reality.
So, what am I saying? If we aren't careful reality can be a “life limiter.” All we have to do is change our mind, and we can expand our boundaries. If you look at your reality as a realm where nothing is impossible then you are on the road to experiencing a new reality. And why shouldn't we look at life that way. the Bible tells us that with God, "all things are possible." The only way you can stop yourself from progressing is if you convince yourself that you are limited, because God certainly doesn't see you as limited.
A powerful proverb tells us, “…as [a man} thinks in his heart, so is he…” If you don’t think you can do something, you can’t. If you don’t believe you can do greater things than you’ve done before, then you won’t. Don’t allow yourself to dwell on being a person with limitations. Enjoy the “Freedom to Soar” you were created with. You can go as far as you believe you can. Take the limits off yourself, embrace the unlimited potential God created you with and establish a new reality in your life.
