Your vision is your vision, and that’s the one that matters
Everyone has something they want to do, whether it’ something people agree with or disagree with. Whatever it is you want to do, you’ll have people that try to stop you. The people that don’t understand where you are trying to go, or those who will try to bring you down, especially the ones that want to see you lose.
Recently I’ve had a few challenging days wondering if my vision was really mine or not? Voices (mostly internal voices) trying to tell me my vision is not going to come to pass. I’ll be honest with you … It got me down. But I began to remember that as I grew up everyone had something to say about my life and how I wouldn’t succeed because I was the only child of a single mother.. But during those times I tried to refer back to my inner voice that quieted the outsiders.
I HAD A VISION.
And I needed to stay focused on that vision. It was mine! I’m sure you have a vision also, and your vision is meant for you to understand. And even though you will have people that agree with it, they still may not see it how you see it. Understanding this changed everything for me, and here’s how.
I began to tune out the outsiders
Listening to myself grew me
I slowly turned down the volume of others, like how you turn down a radio
I was the type of person to believe others point of view, and that kept my mind in a prison. Everything I did I would worry about what type of feedback I was going to get. When I wanted to try new things I feared the opinions of others.
I knew something had to change if I wanted to move forward. So, I started telling myself that if I faced my fears, they would go away.
So I Began To Listen To Myself More
After turning down the outside noise, I began to gain more peace, about myself and my vision. I began to throw the fears inside a box, and lock it forever. I no longer let myself care so much about what other people had to say about what I was doing.
I am a speaker, author and consultant. I’m building something around what I love to do, which is motivation and the wellness of myself and others. And if someone doesn’t like it then that’s their problem. I now move forward each day and put my opinion before anyone else’s.
What I’ve Learned From The Experiences
I learned that as long as you are breathing, someone will try to talk down about your goals, so you might as well get used to it. I’ve learned that you are 100 percent in control of your life, so your losses are nobody’s but yours. Use your losses and failures to your benefit. To REFOCUS on your vision.
